Tom Welling attended Comic-Con 2010, and he was a member of the Smallville panel again this year. One of the highlights of the panel was a video that featured scenes from the first nine seasons of the show, as well as some brief clips from the upcoming tenth season. Here's an overview of some news for Clark Kent for season ten:

• Clark Kent will become Superman by the end of season ten (although many fans feel he is Superman already, except for the suit and flight)
• The superman suit was shown in the video clip, although Tom said he has not worn it yet. The suit is the same one that was used in the movie "Superman Returns".
• Clark is shown either flying or super-jumping with the Daily Planet Globe in his hands in the video
• The word "Superman" is heard on the video clip
• Cat Grant joins Clark as a reporter at the Daily Planet
• Darkseid will be Clark's main enemy this season, but he will be different from the comics version
• In addition, various guest stars and familiar characters will return, including James Marsters as Brainiac 5, John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, and Michael Shanks as Carter Hall.

Will Tom wear the Superman costume? No definitive answer was provided, but Tom did make this teasing comment to the Wall Street Journal:

“I make the new suit look fantastic,” said Welling with a grin.
