"Between the Wanting and the Getting" is the final episode for the character of Rob Meltzer on Judging Amy. Amy faces her problems with seeing a younger man and decides it isn't worth working through her insecurities to make the relationship work.

The Good:

Rob Meltzer: Tom Welling played Rob as a very confident young man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. Rob displayed quite convincingly that he was okay with Amy being older. Tom is good at expressions and my favorite was their discussion in bed. After Amy offers to buy him one of the books she is reading, I had to laugh at the look on Rob's face when he turned away. "Oh, great! One more thing I have to do to impress her!" You could see there were problems with the relationship.

First Scene: This is my favorite scene in the episode. I loved the sexy, confident way Rob spoke to Amy as she was trying to leave to go home. Rob definitely doesn't beat around the bush. He gets right to the point. I must mention that Tom's hair is tousled…my favorite look on him! The line "Let me keep you warm" was fantastic. Also, "Something will happen if the sunrise catches you in my bed" Tom delivered with such panache only to follow with the toe curling, sexily whispered, "Let's find out." I couldn't help but squeal! It was a nice touch how Rob invaded Amy's space and kept a hold on the lapels of her coat as he pulled her back to his bedroom. I would have just tackled him!

Rob Meltzer on street with young girl: I thought Tom played this very well. Rob recognized Amy's insecurities and didn't fault her for them; he did everything he could to lay them to rest. Kissing her in front of the girl to let her know he wasn't ashamed to be seen with her, letting her know that the girl was one of the teachers were a couple of the ways he showed he was considerate of her feelings. Amy, however, thought the worst of everything.

Final scene: Rob was right to give Amy the ultimatum. Her insecurities were affecting their relationship and he wasn't willing to keep being the battering ram for them. I like Rob's confidence and assurance. He was willing to let Amy come to grips with what she was feeling, but if she didn't choose to continue the relationship this time, it was over. There wouldn't be a next time.

The Bad:

Kisses: There was only one!

I give 'Between the Wanting and the Getting' 4.5 out of 5 stars.
