Trespass was an episode that seemed a little out of place in a season that has been amazing thus far. There were some redeeming qualities that moved the story along just a tad.

The Good

Clark & Jimmy: It was really good to see these two get a couple of scenes together where they interacted. My favorite was when Clark first approached Jimmy for his help and Jimmy got all 'macho' on him, risking life and limb to give him a piece of his mind about Clark treating Chloe with respect. I loved the smile on Clark's face after Jimmy's tirade and his confession that he and Chloe are just friends, but that he cares about her, too. The relief on Jimmy's face was so cute. He really is a great guy!!

Clark & Chloe: As always, these two are amazing in any scenes they have together. Clark seems somewhat worried about Lana finding out his secret, but not as stressed as in the past. Chloe reminding Clark that Lana put herself in danger to protect him seemed to worry Clark a little and Chloe seems worried as well. Where before, Chloe was encouraging Clark to tell Lana his secret, this time she isn't so eager.

Snow: Nice touch with the scenery and the snowstorm. This certainly helped the effect of giving you chills with the 'scary' plot line.

The necklace: It was a nice touch for Lana to discover the necklace. It explains how she gets it back, since in a previous episode (season 3 Hereafter), she was wearing it when she dies.

The music: Nice and creepy. Need I say more?

The villain: He wasn't a freak of the week. He played a great stalker and was seriously demented. Scared the heck out of me!

Lana: Kristin did an amazing job with this episode. I don't agree with the character changes for Lana, but Kristin pulled off a nice mix of vulnerability and strength that I haven't seen in her before. The way she lured the guy to her so she could hit him over the head was believable. You could tell she was frightened, but she hid it well from him. It was very evident that Lana was uncomfortable with snooping, but it was like she was driven to find out. I thought it said a lot of Lana not to press Chloe to tell her anything about Clark. She was going to find out on her own. The funny part of her previous snooping in the barn, was that Clark was doing all of his chores 'normal' because he felt like he was being watched. I had to laugh at that. Poor Lana, thwarted again. Nice job considering she was sick.

Clark & Lana: Clark catching Lana was an amazing effect. Kudos to the special effects team! Clark wasn't bumbling to explain to Lana how he did it. He was confident in his response to her when she asked him after everything why was he still watching over her. He is acting more like Superman everyday!

Clark & Lex: These two have amazing chemistry. The angst between them is so well played. Clark apologizing for his behavior was the right thing to do and something I am sure that Superman wouldn't hesitate to do. Clark really was holding back from letting Lex have it as was evident in his clenched jaw and speaking through almost clenched teeth. The jabs that Lex took at him, Clark pretty much let roll off of him. I am sure that Lex does not expect Clark to show up. Lana is definitely a pawn in Lex's game of one-up-man-ship!

The Bad

Lana snooping. However, this seems the only way she is going to find out anything since she has already asked both Clark and Chloe, but they aren't giving it up. Still, snooping is such a low thing.

The plot. Kind of lame. Stalker...celebrity...paparazzi...you get the picture.

Martha Kent: Where was she when Brody was killed? She seemed off her game in this episode. She didn't come across as the usual caring Mrs. Kent. I don't know if some scenes were cut, but things just didn't seem right with her.

NOT ENOUGH CLARK!.

I give 'Trespass' 3.5 out of 5 stars.
