Injustice, directed by Tom Welling, was a well put together episode leading up to the season finale. Superman's creed was shouted loud and clear in the voice of Clark Kent. He stood strong and tall as the leader of heroes everywhere.

Tom's Performance: Tom Welling's performance both as a director and actor was amazing! Tom's expertise as an actor to let you know what is going on in the character's head took place in the other actors as well under Tom's direction. His choice of lighting for the episode was different and worked very well with the episode. Also, the actor's seemed more confident and relaxed in their character's skins.

The Good

Clark Kent: Wowza! Confident in what he must do and who he is even though everyone else around him is chanting for him to kill Davis Bloom. Some of the best lines I have ever heard to date out of Clark's mouth was in this episode:

"I lied. I don't know, Chloe. It seems like in order to do the right thing lately there has to be all these lies and secrets attached. I didn't even know if Oliver would help me if I told him the truth."

"Sometimes justice is not about making the easy decision, sometimes it's about finding that last bit of good in someone and saving them from themselves."

"My responsibility is to do what's right. Like it or not, we stand for something. We set an example for others to follow and if we don't than we're no better than the people we fight. "

"No one has the right to choose who lives and dies."

"The word fate is used by people who've lost sight of who they are."

Clark's sarcasm with Tess at the beginning was spot on. I really liked the fact he's a man now and not a shy boy. I really loved the term 'alien Jesus'. Clark also displayed his leadership. He delegated the task of getting the black kryptonite to Oliver as well as stood his ground against opposition from all sides. Everyone wants to take the easy way out and kill Davis Bloom. Whatever good that will do since he can't be killed.

Dr. Emil Hamilton: I am really enjoying this character and I loved his respectful interaction with Clark. I am looking forward to see more of him. It makes me feel better that he is in direct contact with The Martian Manhunter, since Oliver isn't exactly on the up and up where Clark is concerned. It was a nice James Bond touch with the car. I thought I saw a little twinkle in Clark's eye when he saw his ride.

Clark and Oliver: Through Tom's direction, I think we have a better picture of Oliver. He is definitely off the path and is dealing with guilt and anger issues. He needs Clark to set him straight and it seems Clark started that tonight with a lesson on responsibility. Oliver's sanctimonious attitude towards Clark is a direct result of not feeling included. Clark is very quiet and doesn't shoot off at the mouth about what he is going to do and I think Oliver has a hard time dealing with not being included. His little-boy eagerness when Clark asked him to retrieve the black kryptonite for him was evidence of this. I am glad he confessed to Clark about Lex. If Oliver makes it to season 9, it will be great to see Clark get him on the right track.

The scene where Oliver carries Tess out of the mansion was a great example of the dissension between these two. Clark has lost his respect and trust of Oliver because of all he has done to this point. The line from Oliver, "I'm not your enemy, Clark," and then Clark's response of "Then who are you," is so indicative of where they are right now in their relationship. Clark is definitely the hero of this scenario. And unless Oliver chooses to change, Clark will never be able to trust him.

Clark and Ava/Chloe: Clark's tenderness and worry toward who he thought was Chloe was endearing.

Clark and Tess: Tess is trying to force Clark to kill, to taint his goodness and she thinks she has won. That Clark will have no choice but to play it out as she sees fit. The interaction with these two was striking. Tess is definitely delusional and Clark is shocked that she destroyed the crystal. However, he stands against her regardless. He is not going to let her win!

Oliver and Tess: The banter between these two tonight was very adult and very sexy. I liked that it was tied in with Oliver helping Clark. Both actors did a fantastic job.

Injustice League: These guys were great. I thought they were convincing as misguided wanna-be heroes. Plastique and Parasite are now in the hands of the Justice League. Mmmm, will they be part of that league instead? Also, a little bit of continuity. The shape shifter's name was Ava Greer. Any relation to Tina?

Clark's Powers: I loved the effect when Parasite took and returned Clark's powers. The blue and red essence was well done. Not to mention, the force of the powers knocked the guy right off his feet and left fire tracks.

ORB: The last scene of the episode was very enlightening. It doesn't look like Jor-El sent the orb to earth after all. It sounded like Zor-El's voice to me and then the mention of Kandor clenched it.

Clark's Clothes: Geez, did he look hot or what tonight! I loved the darker colors. They made him look so regal and manly. I know, shallow, but what can I say?

The Bad

Tess: I didn't believe Tess was actually in pain when Parasite electrocuted her. She needed to be more convincing.

I give 'Injustice 5 out of 5 stars.
